If you’ve been sleeping on Nashville’s sushi scene, consider this your wake-up call and your personal invitation.
Tucked into the city’s growing culinary landscape, Sushi Row Nash (@sushirownash) is quietly doing something special. I stopped in for lunch recently, and honestly? I left full, impressed, and already planning my next visit. Here’s the full breakdown.
The Lunch Special Menu: More Than You’d Expect
Let’s start here, because the lunch special menu at Sushi Row Nash deserves its own moment. Whether you’re a sushi purist or you live for sashimi, the variety on this menu gives you real options without decision fatigue. It’s the kind of spread that works whether you’re dining solo on a lunch break or easing a first-timer into the world of Japanese cuisine.
And the portions? You will not leave hungry. I want to be clear about that.
What I Ordered
🍚 Unagi Don Bowl
This was my main, and it did not disappoint.
The Unagi Don bowl features fresh water eel in a rich tare sauce, served over seasoned rice and rounded out with pickled radish, creamy avocado, pickled ginger, and wasabi. Every element on the plate is intentional, the eel is tender and lacquered with that deep, slightly sweet tare glaze, the rice soaks it all in beautifully, and the pickled radish cuts through the richness at just the right moment. It’s a bowl that’s balanced without being boring.
For anyone who hasn’t had unagi before: this is a beautiful entry point. For those who already love it, Sushi Row Nash’s version holds its own.

🥒🥥🫚 Nature’s Gatorade
Yes, I’m giving this drink its own section because it deserves it!
I paired my lunch with what the menu calls Nature’s Gatorade, a refreshing blend of cucumber, coconut water, and ginger beer. It sounds simple. It is anything but. The cucumber keeps it cool and light, the coconut water adds a natural sweetness, and the ginger beer brings just enough of a kick to keep your palate awake between bites. It complemented the umami-forward flavors of the Unagi Don perfectly.
Nashville summers are no joke. This drink brings a burst of flavor and hydration!
Uni - Sashimi Style
I’ll be honest: uni (sea urchin) has a reputation that intimidates people. The briny, oceanic, “acquired taste” label follows it everywhere. I’m here to tell you…. at Sushi Row Nash, that reputation does not apply.
I finished my meal with their uni served sashimi style, and it was one of the highlights of the entire experience. It was sweet, buttery, and melted on my tongue with zero, I repeat, zero fishy aftertaste. If you’ve been curious about uni but always talked yourself out of it, this is your sign. Let Sushi Row Nash be the place that converts you.
The Verdict
Sushi Row Nash is the real deal. Whether you’re a longtime sushi lover or you’re just starting to explore Japanese cuisine, their lunch menu offers quality, variety, and an experience that feels elevated without feeling inaccessible. The flavors are thoughtful, the portions are generous, and the vibe is exactly what Nashville needs more of.
My recommendations if you go:
• Order the Unagi Don bowl - it’s a 100% belly pleasure
• Grab the Nature’s Gatorade to drink alongside your meal for mega hydration and a flash to the tropics
• Be brave and try the uni sashimi, I promise it’ll surprise you
And when you walk in? Tell ’em Bray sent you. ✨🫶🏾
