She is a whimsical, adventurous, woman, now mother that does not stop pursuing the simple joys in life. Known as an Empowered Woman in Nashville, TN, a multi-published model, Author, advocate of the LGBTQIA + community, as well as an avid explorer of cultures, she embodies the definition of a Taurus woman.
Her diverse sense of taste, keen ability to adapt to any environment, and multi-cultural background gave her the edge to create stories from her food and travel explorations from a young age. Leaving behind honest reviews, magical moments, and connections creating family wherever she goes.
Her fiery personality stems from her background of being an African American woman raised heavily on Jamaican culture. She's an Island girl at heart and in her roots. Giving her the love of spices, travel, and friendship.
From Jamaica to Mexico she has traveled trying authentic home cooked meals, bringing back that culinary and rhythm to every review she gives. Her ability to share honestly about spice levels, bakery knowledge, culinary diversity from the best hole in the wall restaurants to 5 star rated experiences, she can be trusted in any setting due to her previous experiences.
Her Story
An introverted extrovert that found a way to monetize her obsessions. From photography, event productions, Music festivals, Digital Content Management, Beauty, and Health & Wellness, establishing herself as a Brand was her ticket to the life she new would set her FREE. Brahja has never found comfort in the 9 to 5. When it came to committing herself to the health care industry at the age of 17 it was the option that best kept her financially stable but not internally FULL.
She has always been an active woman if it were not a sport that she was invested in it was an outside activity that kept her grounded. Experiencing her first concert at the age of 14 at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she knew that music and journalism is what allowed her to be in alignment. Following that passion She was apart of the very first Journalism and Broadcasting committee at her HS, Millville High School, in NJ, where she managed daily news broadcast and news letter to keep the student body up - to- date, operated all technical equipment to maintain production for broadcasting, reported daily news as a news anchor alongside her classmates, and broadcasted the very first pep rally on Fox news for her HS, as well as edited her senior year-book.
From a teenager to a young adult in her twenties she continued this Broadcasting and Entertainment journey to Orlando, FL where she worked activations for Orlando Night life as a hostess, managed an E-Commerce store called Swish Swim, staffed for local Harley Davidson Modeling events, holds the title of Miss Tamps 2014 International Bikini Model, produced events for local radio stations, and MC'd for small business'.
She then sprouted to North Carolina, Texas, and Nashville, TN where she has found a home for the last 5 + years. Creating a local name for herself as an Empowered woman, a foodie, and local content creator + Digital Marketing Specialist. Her recent career accolades are a certificate solidifying her knowledge and background in SEO optimization, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce Analysist and, Content creation. She has hosted for brand activations such as Smirnoff, Dickel Whiskey, and EM Models, thus showcasing her ability to lead, crowd fund, network, and build relationships in her community.
Brahja is the epitome of a Dreamer. Although her journey is not perfect it is relatable and she is a rising star to look out for. If she is not being published for her authenticity and vulnerability she is doing charitiable work, investing in small business', and taking care of her family.
